ROTARACT CLUB, KHAMGAON
First Rotaract Club came into existence in the world in year 1968. It was 13th March 1968 when the first Rotaract Club was given an official charter & it was Rotaract Club of Charlotte-North, USA. At present, there are 10904 Rotract Clubs spread all over the world in 184 countries with 2,50,792 official members on board. Rotract Club of Khamgaon came into existence on 5th September 1971. It carries out many social projects, few of which can be quoted as Tree Plantation, Blood Donation, Eco-Friendly Ganesh Utsav, Badminton Tournament, Fun & Fair Festivals, Navratri Celebration, Health Check-up Camps & Marathon with Rotary. Presently for the year 2020-21, Rtr Sachin Purwar & Rtr Ajinkya Ghawalkar are office bearers as President & Secretary.
INNERWHEEL CLUB, KHAMGAON
Mrs Margarette Golding, Business Woman & the Wife of Manchester Rotarian, started the Innerwheel movement in 1924. Prior to this, the wives of Rotarians used to take an active part in social & welfare activities with their husbands, thus giving their valuable time & energy. Innerwheel Club of Khamgaon was founded in 1998 with a team of 18 members and with Mrs Asha Jhunjhunuwala as the President and Mrs Vijiya Sanklecha as the Secretary. The 22 years old club has strength of 60 members, all driven towards bringing a change in the health and hygiene sector along with women empowerment in a patriarchal society. They aim to increase the literacy rate through the various vocational classes and workshops conducted every year. The club carries out many projects like Rain water harvesting at Tilak Rashtriya Vidyalaya, Inner wheel Hall at Tilak Rashtriya Vidyalaya, E-learning sets at Missionary School Khamgaon and Zila Parishad Schools at Umra, Wasadi and Bhoisinga, Hand wash station at Zila Parishad schools in Parkhed, Science Laboratory at Zila Parishad school in Nipana, Water Filter Plant built at Mahadev Mandir Sabhagrah Sutala, Computer along with Books inventory software at Rashtra Bhasha Pustakalay, Sanitary Napkins Vending Machines set up at National School, Mohta Mahavidyalaya and Saraswati Shishu Mandir in Khamgaon, Toilet blocks constructed at Missionary School, Khamgaon. It also takes many social & cultural projects and also helps Rotary Club of Khamgaon in achieving their targets.
