ROTARY SCHOOL, KHAMGAON
Education is a foundation of every community. Khamgaon Rotary School is established with aim to offer quality education to students from rural area around Khamgaon in 2016. Rotary Manav Seva Sanstha, the Charitable Trust promoted by Rotary Club of Khamgaon have developed infrastructure in its own land at Village Ghatpuri, Near MIDC area of Khamgaon which is suitable for the pre-primary school. Present school premises consist of building having three class room, toilets, hand wash center & safe drinking water facility with large playing area having traditional & modern playing equipment. Since inception school is dedicated to reducing inequities in education, every year Rotary family conducted survey of nearby villages to find under-privileged students who were deprived of quality education due to financial constraints. Rotary encourages such students to join the school. In some cases, all the expenses for education of needy students are taken care by the school through sponsorship program supported by generous donors from RC Khamgaon itself. School has three qualified teachers & one non-teaching staff. School encourages them for the capacity development and offers financial help to participate in skill development and pedagogical trainings & workshops. Presently, there are 60 students in the school taking quality education. School is planning to expand its’ activities up to standard five and regulatory approval are on way. At the same time, school is going to add world class infrastructure, the credit of whom goes to Rotary Global Grant Program to support smart schools. We are very thankful to generous individuals who adopts needy student for one academic year by contributing Rs. 5100. ROTARY MATIMAND VIDYALAY, KHAMGAON (NON-RESIDENTIAL SCHOOL)
This school was established on 5th Jan 2004 on Non-Granted basis & it is still bears the same status. It is run by the internal sources from Rotary Club of Khamgaon & the donours of the city. The founder team was Rtn Dr Hari Wadode as President, Rtn Dr Anand Jhunjhunwala as Secretary & Rtn Deepak Agrawal as Treasurer. Today it is moving towards excellence under the able leadership of Rtn Deepak Agrawal as President, Rtn Rajeev Nathani as Secretary & Rtn Atul Agrawal as Treasurer. It’s initial location was at IMA Hall, Wadi in the outskirts of Khamgaon. Then it was shifted to Rotary’s own location in MIDC, Khamgaon. Then due to the difficulties of parents regarding transportation of their kids, it was been shifted to Shishu Mandir, Near Sunny Palace Theatre, almost in the center place of the city. This type of unique school started with the strength of 6 students which has now reached to 57 students. It has 05 staff members, out of which 03 are Trained Teachers & 02 are working as Non-Teaching. Students are taught about making envelopes, diyas, candles etc and ensure that it is well marketed. As soon as the commercials are set properly, very soon, part of the surplus would be distributed among the students compensation for their work so that they do not remain burden on the society and their parents. In the near future, Rotary Club is planning to make this school as residential school. All the students are very enthusiastic & they always use to take part in cultural activities arranged on Independence Day, Republic Day & World Handicap Day. Birthday of each student is celebrated, which is attended by many Rotarians. Also the Fun Trips are organized for them alongwith their parents once in a year. The students also take part in Annual District Sports Competitions & have developed the habit of winning many medals & awards. The school is registered with Reg. No. BUD/A-095 & always welcomes the heartful donations & appeals for the same.
